Seeing a gap in published stories across the Arctic, Arctic Youth Network launched its in-house virtual publishing platform, “The Exchange” to facilitate the sharing of content on subjects of direct relevance to Arctic youth and to provide youth with a forum to share their perspectives, stories, ideas, and concerns with each other and the world.
With the support, mentorship and training with our Editorial Director Karli Zschogner based in Inuvik, NT Canada, we are here to amplify the voices of youth through the publishing of digital content and editorial material, bringing together creative youth from diverse backgrounds and providing a medium for the exchange of ideas, news, and pertinent Arctic stories at the individual, community, and global scale.CRITERIA:

Common storytelling across the Arctic include: Indigenous history and culture, climate change (coastal erosion, permafrost), food security (animal populations and traditional harvesting, cost of market groceries), housing, energy, and heating, internet, health and wellness, polar celestial phenomena (aurora-northern lights, midnight sun and polar night).
